White Supremacist Pat Buchanan Fired by MSNBC; Wrote "Suicide of a Superpower," a Hateful Book

The Alter Net website reports today (February 17, 2012) that MSNBC has finally fired white supremacist Pat Buchanan.

MSNBC President Phil Griffin said Buchanan -- who has been off the air since October -- was fired after the publication of his latest book, "Suicide of a Superpower," which contains a chapter called "The End of White America."

The book is alarmingly hateful, with passages that warn for race war and blame minorities for racism against them.

Buchanan retaliated against his former employer of 10 years on his personal website, writing that MSNBC caves in to organizations like the African-American advocacy group, Color of Change; LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) Human Rights Campaign; Jewish advocates at The Anti-Defamation League; and progressive media watchdog Media Matters for America.
